How the AR camera works
For visitors aged 13+ and their guardians: what the camera does, what gets saved, and how to ask us to stop.
What you see
The camera shows your live image on the event screen. An AR effect can add colours, shapes or characters. You can watch the explanation before you decide to join in.
How an effect follows you
Snap Camera Kit supplies the technology that positions an effect. Depending on the effect, it can locate features such as your eyes, nose or hands. Quorilume does not use those positions to find out your identity or create an identity database.
What gets saved
The live view is not continuously saved by Quorilume. Using the capture controls creates a local photo or video. Video can include your voice and nearby sounds; the operator must explain this before recording. Tracked photos and new videos have fixed seven-day deletion deadlines. Cleanup runs when the camera or protected Gallery opens, or on the operator’s Delete expired command. There is no background deletion scheduler: if the app is stopped, cleanup waits until its next use. The operator must arrange timely deletion; older untracked videos require manual review and deletion before event use. You can request earlier deletion.
Who can take part
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher local minimum age. Children under 13 may not use the service. In the Czech service, visitors aged 13–14 need parent or legal guardian confirmation. The operator checks eligibility; the app does not verify age automatically. You can say no or ask to stop, even if an adult has said yes.
The intended territories are the Czech Republic, other EU countries and permitted US locations. AR Mirror use is excluded in Illinois, Texas and any other Snap-prohibited territory; applicable approvals remain necessary.
Who sees it
People near the screen can see the live image. The operator can access saved captures to help with the experience and deletion. We do not automatically send your photo to social media. Any organiser receiving a copy must be explained before you take part.
Camera technology and deletion
Our local capture deadlines do not describe Snap’s separate processing or retention. Read Snap’s Privacy Policy, Snap’s explanation of camera information and the notice presented for this integration. We do not claim the camera technology works entirely offline.
Your choices
Stay outside the camera area if you do not want to appear. Tell the operator if you want to stop or remove a capture. Parents and guardians can also contact quorilume@gmail.com. Start with the event and approximate capture time; do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification process has been explained.
