Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Quorilume is operated by Anton Zelinskyi, Czech sole trader (OSVČ), IČO 17475911. Contact quorilume@gmail.com for privacy questions, parental enquiries and deletion requests.

This policy covers Quorilume’s supervised AR mirror application and this website. Quorilume determines how its standard capture service works. If an event organiser determines different purposes or receives media, the notice at that event must identify the organiser, its role, recipients and contact details before participation. The organiser’s separate photography and attendee records are outside this policy.

The intended service territories are the Czech Republic, other EU countries and permitted US locations. AR Mirror use is excluded in Illinois, Texas and any other territory prohibited by Snap. Availability remains subject to applicable approvals and event arrangements.

2. A short explanation for visitors

The camera shows you on a screen and adds an effect. You do not have to join in. Ask the operator what will happen before stepping into the camera area. The service is for eligible visitors aged 13 or older; children under 13 may not use it. Younger teenagers should read this with their parent or guardian.

A photo or video is saved when a capture starts. Video can include your voice and nearby sounds. You can ask the operator to stop or delete your capture. We do not post it online or use it in advertising just because you take part.

3. Participation and parental permission

Participation is limited to visitors aged 13 or older, subject to any higher applicable local minimum age. Children under 13 may not use the service, even with an accompanying adult. This applies to live AR as well as saved captures.

In the Czech service, visitors aged 13–14 require confirmation from a parent or legal guardian under Quorilume’s operator procedure. Other local age and guardian requirements also apply. The operator checks eligibility and explains the camera, requested photo or video with audio, recipients and deletion before participation. A visitor who does not want to take part must not be pressured to do so.

The application does not verify age or parental authority automatically. An operator’s project acknowledgement or a device permission is not a visitor’s or guardian’s permission. If eligibility or required authorisation cannot be established, participation must not start. Keep non-participants outside the active camera area.

The application does not currently keep a child’s birth date, an identity-document copy or a verified-parent record. If an event requires a separate parental-consent record, its notice must explain what is recorded, who holds it and for how long before that information is requested.

4. Live camera and AR processing

The live image is processed to show the camera view and position the selected effect. Snap Camera Kit supplies AR technology. Depending on the Lens, it can locate features such as eyes, nose or hands to align an effect. Quorilume does not use this to recognise a person’s identity or create an identity database.

Live participation is visible to people near the event display. Please remain outside the marked camera area if you do not want to appear, and ask the operator to stop if needed. We do not intentionally run background surveillance or continuously save the live feed.

Camera Kit is a separate provider’s technology, and may process technical or device information under its own terms. We do not claim that all SDK processing is offline or that our local-media deletion rule controls Snap’s own processing. 5. What the application stores

The current application can store:

• locally captured JPEG photographs;
• locally recorded MP4 videos, including audio when video recording is used;
• for each tracked photo or video: a local file reference, project identifier, capture time, deletion deadline, media type and publication state;
• a device-local operator acknowledgement associated with the project and rules version.

The operator acknowledgement is not an individual visitor’s or parent’s consent record. The application does not currently persist a per-photo age classification, parental verification record or visitor consent timestamp.

Visitors do not need an account or a Snapchat account for the supervised mirror. The standard capture flow does not ask for names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, identity documents or precise location. We do not sell visitor media or use it for advertising profiles. This describes Quorilume’s own application records, not a promise that Camera Kit processes no technical data.

6. Purposes, permissions and choices

We use the live camera and requested capture to provide the voluntary experience and show or deliver its result. Our basis for this voluntary visitor processing is consent, including valid parental authorisation where required. Permission to capture a person’s likeness, acceptance of service terms and any required Snap acceptance are distinct from permission to publish or market a capture.

Photo capture needs camera access. The current video flow also requests Android microphone permission and can record voices and surrounding sound. The operator must explain video and audio before recording; choosing a photo does not itself request a video. Device permissions control access to hardware and do not replace the permission of the people being recorded.

You may refuse, stop or withdraw permission without losing admission to the event or unrelated services. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. Please ask for deletion of any file already created.

7. Local storage and deletion

Media is saved locally on a Quorilume-controlled Android device. The application does not currently upload captures to Google Drive, Quorilume cloud storage or social media, and does not provide automatic printing.

Photos and new videos: each tracked capture has a fixed deletion deadline seven days after capture. Operators must arrange deletion by that deadline and earlier after agreed handover where practical or on a valid request. Reopening the app does not extend the deadline.

How cleanup works: the app checks tracked captures when the camera or protected Gallery opens, and when the operator selects Delete expired. There is no background deletion scheduler. If the app is stopped, automatic cleanup waits until its next use; a deadline does not guarantee deletion while the app is off. The operator must verify deletion and run cleanup in time to meet the seven-day policy.

Older untracked videos: videos created before video-ledger support need manual operator review and deletion before event use. They do not acquire a new seven-day period when the application is updated.

Copies a visitor has received are under that visitor’s control. If an organiser receives a copy with the permission described at the event, its notice must explain its own retention and rights process.

8. Access, recipients and protection

An authorised Quorilume operator may access saved media for preview, delivery and deletion. A visitor may receive their own capture through the method explained for the event. An organiser receives media only where that recipient and purpose have been explained and the required permission obtained. Images of other visitors must not be disclosed in response to a request.

The application has protected operator controls and Gallery access, and does not request broad access to the device’s photo library for this service. Device custody, access control and event closeout remain the operator’s responsibility.

Marketing, social posting, advertising and other reuse require separate permission. A parent’s permission for the child’s experience does not automatically authorise those uses.

9. This website and email

The website has no visitor accounts, submission forms, analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. Its local scripts operate the visual carousel; they do not save visitor profiles. Viewing this website does not activate your camera or microphone.

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site and necessarily handles connection information, such as an IP address and request details, to deliver pages and protect its infrastructure. This is separate from storing application captures. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

If you email us, your address, message and any attachments are processed by the email providers and by Quorilume to respond to the enquiry or privacy request. Send only what is needed; do not email a child’s identity document or an unrelated photograph. We retain correspondence only as needed to resolve the matter and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Hosting and email providers may process information outside your country under their published safeguards.

10. Your rights and parents’ requests

Contact quorilume@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable, or to withdraw consent. A parent or guardian may ask about their child’s media and request that further collection stops. We may need proportionate information to verify the request and the adult’s authority without collecting unnecessary identity material.

Start with the event and approximate capture time. A reference to the specific capture can help; a copy is not automatically required. We normally respond within one month and will explain any lawful extension. If a file has already been deleted, we cannot retrieve it.

You may complain to the Czech Data Protection Authority (ÚOOÚ) or another competent data-protection authority. There is no automated decision-making about visitors with legal or similarly significant effects in this service.

11. Updates

We will update this policy when the experience, age-specific arrangements or processing changes. The date and version at the top identify this text. New permissions must be obtained before new uses where required; changing this page does not itself provide them.
